Police arrested four female thieves from the train

The arrested are Selina Akhter, Alema Akhter, Maina Begum, and Josna Begum. Their homes are in different villages of Habiganj Sadar Upazila. They are related to each other.

According to the Railway Police, the passengers of the train apprehended them and handed them over to the Akhaura Railway Police while they were fleeing from the Chattala Express with a gold chain.

Suffering train passengers. Rakibul Hasan said he was going to Dhaka from Kasba railway station with his mother by Chattala train. Shortly after boarding the train, 5/6 women got together and crowded beside them. At one point, the woman tried to grab the gold chain around his mother Nasima Akter’s neck. At that time, when his mother shouted, the other passengers in the carriage arrested 4 female thieves. Later, when the train stopped at Akhaura railway junction station, they were handed over to the railway police.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Akhaura Railway Police Station Mazharul Karim confirmed the incident and said that the arrested were active members of the train theft ring. There are several cases against them in different police stations including Akhaura Railway Police Station. A case has been lodged with Akhaura Railway Police Station over the incident.
